Investing in the Algarve

  5. Property prices are on the rise. Realistic pricing, the availability of cheap finance, strong investment in infrastructure and tax initiatives have led to renewed confidence in the Algarve property market.
  6. Low cost of living. The cost of living in Portugal is among the lowest in Western Europe, on average 30% lower than in any other country on the Continent.
  7. Portugal is a safer country. Unlike many other European holiday destinations the Algarve has a low risk of terrorism.
  8. Tourism is on the increase. 2015 was the “best year ever” for tourism in Portugal, especially the Algarve. Portugal’s Institute for Tourism Development (IPDT) are now stating 2016 is already breaking previous records with increases in every sphere, translating into lots more (much-needed) revenue.
  9. Financing is still possible. All the major Portuguese lenders continue to provide mortgages to suitable individuals, including overseas nationals, purchasing property in Portugal.
